In June Birmingham Electrical Contractors was awarded a contract with Thompson Cat Power Systems Division to rebuild a 5.2 Megawatt Generator for Ontario Power. This project consists of converting the generator from stationary to portable to serve as a temporary power system. This project is a large undertaking consisting of high voltage terminations, installing custom fabricated buss bars, as well as wiring custom Amphenol communication connectors. BEC is excited about this project as well as the future possibilities of doing projects of this nature.
